You’ll experience the famous Swiss passes including Furka Pass, Gotthard Pass, Susten Pass, Grimsel Pass and Nufenen Pass, alongside the incredible roads of the Vosges Mountains, Grand Ballon, Albula Pass and San Bernardino Pass — creating the ultimate alpine motorcycling adventure.

You will stay in a collection of fabulous handpicked hotels that perfectly complement this unforgettable journey through Europe’s most spectacular mountain scenery.

From charming alpine hotels surrounded by breathtaking peaks to stylish lakeside and mountain retreats, each stop has been carefully selected for its comfort, character, and welcoming atmosphere.

Tour Overview

Beginning your adventure boarding the Eurotunnel LeShuttle to Calais.

Taking a quick spin down the motorway to get out of the city and into the beautiful open French countryside for the next two days. 

On route you’ll stop off at the incredible Verdun Ossuary which is situated on the battlefield itself. 

Continuing into Germany,  crossing the Rhine, making our way to Baden-Baden and your hotel for the night.

Riding through Germany you will ride the beautiful Black Forest’s long sweeping bends.  

Upon leaving Germany you will head down into Austria and the incredible GrossGlockner mountain pass. 

There are 48 kilometres of incredible sweeping curves and hairpin bends.  This culminates in an awe inspiring view from Bikers Point.

From Austria you ride into Italy and over two incredible passes; the TimmlesJoch and the Stelvio, then drop into Switzerland in preparation for your 5 Swiss passes ride out day.

Your ride out includes The Furka Pass, made famous by the James Bond film Goldfinger.  The Gotthard Pass.  The Grimsel pass at 7100 feet.  The Oberalpass and Sustenpass.  All five ridden in one day!

From Switzerland you’ll start heading back into France taking in some beautiful roads across the Vosges Mountains. 

After leaving the Vosges Mountains you head north taking in the French countryside heading towards the Eurotunnel LeShuttle.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Tunnel - 454 Km / 285 Miles

After leaving the Eurotunnel we stay on the French motorway briefly to allow us to get on to the better roads. Our ride today includes the Ossuary at Verdun.

Day 2 - 204 km / 128 Miles

Using some of the best roads in the area we cross the Rhine for our first night in Germany.

Day 3 - 325 km / 204 Miles

Today we ride the iconic B500 through some wonderful roads in the Black Forest while heading towards our stop for tonight close to the Austrian border.

Day 4 - 250 km / 157 Miles

Leaving Germany and crossing into Austria you will get your first glimpses of the Alps mountain range.

Day 5 - Explore / Ride Out

A choice of pace today. There are three ride outs on offer. The Berchesgaden (Hitlers summer residence) and museum. A stunning ride to visit the Eis Riesen Welt (the worlds largest ice caves), or the majestic GrossGlockner mountain pass (subject to weather) and the glacier. If this all a bit much then relax at the hotel.

Day 6 - 260 km / 163 Miles

This is one of our favourite days on the tour we get to ride the impressive Timmlesjoch Pass with its amazing Mountain Top Motorcycle Museum at the summit, where you can have a spot of lunch or just a coffee.

Day 7 - 146 km / 92 Miles

Two passes in one day and both are on many riders bucket list. We ride the Stelvio Pass followed by the Umbrail Pass riding in to Switzerland for the first of our three nights in this awe inspiring country.

Day 8 - 208 km / 130 Miles

Switzerland takes our breath away every time we ride here. The views are amazing. The roads are a joy to ride on and we get to ride the Albula Pass then the Furka Pass to top it off.

Day 9 - Explore / Ride Out

This is what its all about for motorcycle riders. Five classic Swiss passes in one day. Its hard to put in to words the views and the stunning scenery so make sure you have plenty of space for all the pictures on your camera. We love this ride!

Day 10 - 340 km / 213 Miles

Heading away from Switzerland we start the day riding the Grimsel Pass while heading towards the Voges Mountains in France. Ascending the Le Grand Ballon (the highest point of the Vosges mountains) on a clear day you can see the Black Forest and the Alps.

Day 11 - 249 km / 156 Miles

Riding some great roads we leave the Vosges mountains and head towards the Reims region of France for tonights stay and our final night together on this tour.

Day 12 - 331 km / 207 Miles

Our last day of riding on this tour is just as special as the others. Passing some well known battle sites of WW1. For those that wish to there is plenty of time to visit some of the cemetery's.

Common Questions

No.  Our rest days incorporate lovely locations for you to explore on foot as well as an option to ride some more glorious roads.  You can of course stay and enjoy the facilities at the hotel and relax.  All of which you can decide on the day!

Don’t worry at all as there is fuel throughout our tours, but if there are days when you need fill up before riding a mountain pass or national park, our guides will make sure you know where to fill up.

Yes, you will need to buy a vignette for Austria, which you can do online here.  When we ride in Switzerland we don’t use the motorways so you don’t need one, although if you want to get one you can online here.

At certain times of the year, some mountain roads are blocked and closed because of snow, so we always have alternative routes to get round this so you can continue your adventure.
